Energy Taiwan and Net-Zero Taiwan 2024 are currently open for booth applications. The show marked historic highs last year_

The show will expand its invitations to involve relevant supply chain participants, fostering opportunities for businesses to explore new avenue
The annual flagship exhibitions of the energy industry, Energy Taiwan and Net-Zero Taiwan, are set to kick off from October 2nd to 4th, 2024, at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2 (TaiNEX 2). These prestigious events, co-organized by TAITRA and GESA (Green Energy and Sustainability Alliance) under SEMI, have consistently pushed the boundaries, with the previous edition hosting 1,275 booths and drawing in nearly 25,000 visitors, marking historic highs. Building on this success, this year’s edition will revolve around four central themes: innovative energy, green technology, sustainable innovation, and net-zero transition. The aim is to provide a comprehensive business and trading platform dedicated to facilitating the transition to net-zero. With the global momentum behind the push for net-zero, the scale of this year’s exhibitions is anticipated to surpass previous records.
Energy Taiwan Builds a Robust Economic Network for Renewable Energy
At last year’s COP28 UN Climate Change Conference, countries rallied behind a bold initiative: tripling the world’s installed renewable energy capacity by 2030. This global initiative is sparking increased capital and technology investments, propelling the transition to green energy into high gear. The Taiwanese government is actively championing 12 key strategies for achieving net-zero, with solar PV and wind power emerging as well-established sources of renewable electricity generation in the country. Over the past five years, Taiwan has experienced an impressive annual growth rate of 14% in renewable energy power generation, surpassing the global average. This surge in renewable energy adoption has unlocked vast business opportunities throughout the green energy supply chain. Energy Taiwan stands as a testament to this growth, showcasing the burgeoning supply and demand dynamics across various sectors. The event comprises four sub-exhibitions: PV Taiwan, Wind Energy Taiwan, Smart Storage Taiwan, and Emerging Power Taiwan, seamlessly connecting stakeholders across the entire green energy industry, from upstream to downstream. Each sub-exhibition features the latest products, technologies, and solutions shaping the future of renewable energy. Among these sub-exhibitions, Emerging Power Taiwan stands out due to the promising prospects of the emerging energy market. As such, the recruitment of exhibitors has expanded to encompass players in sectors such as hydrogen energy, ocean energy, geothermal energy, and biomass energy. This strategic move aims to foster technology exchange and create new business opportunities in the dynamic field of emerging power.
Net-Zero Taiwan Empowers Businesses to Boost Sustainability Competitiveness
In sync with international trends and government policies, Net-Zero Taiwan is set to coincide with Energy Taiwan, highlighting carbon-reducing and negative emissions technologies, innovative energy efficiency solutions, circular economy practices, green finance, and renewable energy procurement. The previous edition successfully enlisted prominent companies like Formosa Smart Energy, Delta Electronics, Shihlin Electric, HD Renewable Energy, and Bank SinoPac as exhibitors. With the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) coming into effect in October 2023 and its inaugural report scheduled for January 2024, the world has entered the era of carbon trade. Carbon-related matters are poised to take center stage in global discussions, becoming critical to corporate competitiveness. This year’s Net-Zero Taiwan will shine a spotlight on carbon issues, involving service providers from the ICT sector and consulting businesses across various industries. Their services encompass the application of big data, cloud computing, and IoT to conduct carbon footprint audits, manage climate risks, analyze supply chains, and facilitate carbon trading. The primary goal is to empower businesses to seize new opportunities in the transition towards a green, low-carbon economy.
The 2024 editions of Energy Taiwan and Net-Zero Taiwan will not only showcase technologies related to renewable energy but will also host forums, procurement meetings, consulting services for energy efficiency and carbon emission reduction, and green job matchmaking. Businesses in related fields are urged to seize the final opportunity to sign up to exhibit or participate before space fills up.
